Snapshot
The selection sequence is designed to filter internal Commission candidates first by statutory eligibility and language, then by specialist MCQ score, then by final eligibility on qualifications and professional experience, and finally by oral-test ranking.
Core Concepts
- •Eligible staff categories include AD officials, AD temporary agents and contract agents FG IV in the Commission.
- •Candidates must have served at least the last six full consecutive months as AD official, AD temporary agent or FG IV contract agent in the Commission.
- •Candidates must have served at least the last 12 full consecutive months as official, temporary agent or contract agent in the Commission.
- •Contract agents also need at least 36 full months of service in the Commission as official, temporary agent or contract agent.
- •Agencies and other institutions do not count as Commission service for this competition.
- •Language 2 must be English, French or German and is used for all tests.
- •Language 2 must be different from the main or first language recorded in Sysper, unless the candidate proves another C1 language as main language for the competition.
- •Final eligibility checks examine qualifications and relevant professional experience after the MCQ, in descending MCQ score order.
Exam Angles
- •A candidate can pass the MCQ but still fail final eligibility if experience evidence is weak.
- •Supporting documents must be attached with the application; the Selection Board does not rely on documents merely stored in Sysper.
- •Reserve lists are drawn from oral-test scores among eligible candidates who passed the oral test.
