1. What COM/AD/106/2026 Tests

COM/AD/106/2026 is an internal Commission AD6 competition for case handlers and policy officers. It is not a general EPSO AD5 competition and not a broad AD7 specialist competition. It has two fields: competition and digital policies. The MCQ test assesses specialised knowledge in the chosen field only.

  • Field 1 reserve list: 50 successful candidates.
  • Field 2 reserve list: 12 successful candidates.
  • Application deadline in the notice: 8 June 2026 at 12:00 Brussels time.
  • Candidates may apply for only one field and cannot change field after the deadline.
  • The MCQ test has 40 questions, 60 minutes and pass mark 25/40.
  • The MCQ score is a gate. It is not added to later oral-test marks.
  • The oral test has a presentation with follow-up questions and a structured interview.

  • Distinguish field choice from language choice.
  • Remember that the MCQ is field-specific, while the oral test also evaluates motivation and general competencies.
  • Do not train with generic EU-knowledge questions and assume coverage.
