Correct reading of the July update
EPSO's 10 July update does not announce a new general retest. It does not reopen applications. It does not invite every candidate to test again.
The September session is limited to candidates who were unable to sit the April tests. EPSO says those candidates already received invitations. The competition procedure continues after that session. Further information follows after subsequent stages are completed.
Status language for EPSOHQ
Use: Ongoing — limited testing session on 3 September 2026 for already invited candidates.
Avoid: All candidates retest on 3 September.
Avoid: Competition reopened.
Avoid: September is a new application or booking deadline.
Update discipline
Each status statement needs a source URL, publication date, last-verification date and explicit candidate scope. Keep historical events instead of replacing them. This prevents a current card from erasing why the September session exists.
