Eight competitions, now completed
EPSO/AD/423/25 covered Danish, German, English, Estonian, Croatian, Dutch, Romanian and Slovenian lawyer-linguists or legal revisers. The reserve targets totalled 208. EPSO published all eight reserve lists in July 2026, so applications and testing are closed.

Exact test profile
| Test | Format | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Reasoning | 10 verbal in 18 min; 10 numerical in 20; 10 abstract in 10 | 15/30 combined |
| EU law | 30 questions in 60 minutes, L1 | 15/30 and ranking gate; 30% |
| L3 comprehension | 12 in 25 minutes | No separate pass; 20% or 10% |
| L2 comprehension | EN profile only: 12 in 25 minutes | No separate pass; 10% |
| Revision | 90 minutes | 50/100; 50% |
Reasoning used a separately chosen language 4. Non-English profiles used English as L2. English-profile candidates chose L2 and a distinct L3 from other official EU languages.
Ranking matters
EPSO first applied the combined reasoning threshold and then the EU-law threshold. Eligibility was checked in descending EU-law score order until the notice limit was reached. Reasoning did not enter the final weighted score.
Revision differs by profile
English-profile candidates revised an English draft. Other profiles revised a translation from English into L1 and translated missing passages. Both tasks lasted 90 minutes and required 50/100.
Full EPSOHQ package
The EPSO/AD/423/25 database includes 12 modules, a source-backed English EU-law bank protected by an independent review gate, the full language matrix, a browser-local revision workbench and a weighted score calculator.
The official EU-law test was delivered in each profile's L1. English questions cover the legal syllabus, not all eight language deliveries. Native legal-linguistic review remains essential.
