Competition identity and status

EPSO/AD/426/25 recruits AD7 administrators in data management and data knowledge for posts in Luxembourg. The European Parliament, Commission, Court of Justice and Court of Auditors may recruit from a reserve list of 238 successful candidates. EPSO reports 5,597 applicants. Applications closed on 16 December 2025, supporting documents were due on 20 March 2026, and testing took place on 29 April 2026. The procedure remains ongoing.

The legally binding framework is Notice C/2025/5881. A March 2026 corrigendum changes only Dutch wording in the general review procedure. It does not change the English test profile or Annex II scope.

Reasoning tests are pass gates. Their scores are not used to rank candidates. The field-related MCQ is both a pass gate and the ranking instrument. EPSO checks eligibility in descending field-score order until it reaches at most 1.5 times the number sought. The EUFTE is marked for eligible candidates in that group. The final reserve list contains eligible candidates who pass every test, ordered by field-related MCQ score; the EUFTE remains a pass gate rather than a ranking score.

Language and eligibility map

Candidates need C1 in language 1 and B2 in a different language 2. Reasoning uses language 1. The field MCQ and EUFTE use language 2.

The notice defines three education-and-experience routes: a relevant three-year degree plus six years of relevant experience; a relevant four-year degree plus five years; or a three-year degree in another area plus seven years. An advanced relevant degree may satisfy the relevant-area requirement under the notice's conditions. Only the notice and selection board decide eligibility.

Preparation consequence

Do not treat 15/30 as the performance target. Ranking is field-score led, so preparation needs broad Annex II coverage and fast discrimination between plausible options. Use 30-question, 40-minute mocks after learning each duty family. Keep reasoning practice active because one failed gate ends the procedure. For EUFTE, practise extracting a defensible recommendation from the released document pack without relying on outside factual knowledge.
