EPSO/AD/402/23 recruited AD 6 administrators in three fields:
- Microeconomics/macroeconomics — original target 300.

- Industrial economics — original target 322.
The original combined target was 970. Candidates could apply to one field only. Inclusion on a reserve list creates no right to recruitment.
Exact amended test matrix
| Test | Language | Questions | Duration | Pass rule |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Numerical reasoning | Language 1 | 10 | 20 minutes | 6/10 separately |
| Verbal reasoning | Language 1 | 20 | 35 minutes | Combined with abstract: 15/30 |
| Abstract reasoning | Language 1 | 10 | 10 minutes | Combined with verbal: 15/30 |
| Field-related MCQ | Language 2 | 30 | 40 minutes | 15/30 and one of highest field scores |
| Written Test | Language 2 | — | 45 minutes | 5/10 |
The numerical threshold is separate. Verbal and abstract scores are added. Passing 15/30 in the field MCQ is necessary but does not establish a competitive ranking cut-off.
Processing sequence
Reasoning results are processed first. Candidates who pass proceed to field-score ranking. Written scripts and eligibility are processed in descending field-MCQ order for no more than 1.5 times the number of successful candidates sought per field. Reserve lists then follow the field ranking, pass marks and eligibility result.
Language regime
Language 1 required at least C1. Language 2 required at least B2 and had to be different. Any two of the 24 official EU languages could be chosen. Reasoning used Language 1. Field MCQ and Written Test used Language 2.
