Tests and gates

Verbal reasoning: 20 questions in 35 minutes, 0-20. Numerical: 10 in 20 minutes, 0-10. Abstract: 10 in 10 minutes, 0-10. The combined threshold is 20/40.

Translation L2 to L1: 90 minutes, 0-80, pass 40/80. No dictionary or other resources may be used under the notice.

Machine-translation review from L3 into L1: 90 minutes, 0-80, pass 40/80.

EPSO scores reasoning first, checks eligibility, then scores translation. It scores review only for candidates who pass translation. Final ranking uses the combined professional score out of 160. Reasoning does not contribute to that total.
