A figure mirrors across an axis while paired regions exchange sides or orientation.

Understanding this pattern

Reflection patterns flip a figure across a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal axis. Distances from the axis stay equal, but left and right—or top and bottom—exchange places. Reflection often combines with a separate fill or shape cycle, so solve the mirror and the changing centre element independently.
