Size progression
One figure grows or shrinks by a fixed amount in each panel.
Understanding this pattern
Compare the same figure across panels and measure its change in width or radius. The number of figures stays the same; the figure itself changes size. Track fill separately when it also cycles.
How to spot it
- One figure steadily changes size across the sequence
- Its shape and centre stay fixed while its edge moves
- Fill may follow a separate repeating cycle
Common traps
- Counting figures instead of comparing their sizes
- Choosing the right size with the wrong fill
- Assuming growth when the figure is shrinking
