What EPSO confirms
The official planned-competitions page lists EPSO/AD/430/26 for ICT experts at AD 8. It names two fields: artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. It gives 8 September 2026 as planned publication and 13 October 2026 as planned deadline. Both carry the explicit warning that dates are to be confirmed.
What remains unknown
The preview is not a Notice of Competition. It does not establish eligibility, professional-experience calculations, selection tests, languages, timing, pass marks, ranking rules or reserve-list size. Training must not convert a preview into invented official rules.
How this package predicts useful scope
The package uses three layers. Normal EU knowledge trains institutional and policy context. Current EU legislation supplies stable AI and cyber concepts. The historical EPSO/AD/398/22 ICT notice supplies a comparator for plausible senior ICT duties: project leadership, policy, architecture, risk, data, AI, cloud, operations and security. That notice is evidence of past EPSO scope, not the future AD/430/26 syllabus.
Candidate operating rule
Practice principles and applied judgment now. Reconcile the package against the published notice before relying on competition-specific details. Treat all clocks as practice pace until EPSO publishes a test matrix.
