Published notice
EPSO published Notice of Competition C/2026/4668 on 8 September 2026. EPSO/AD/430/26 covers two AD 8 fields. Candidates may apply for one field only. The reserve-list targets are 240 successful candidates for artificial intelligence and 254 for cybersecurity.
The application deadline is 13 October 2026 at 12.00 midday, Brussels time. A valid identity card or passport must be uploaded by the same deadline. Other supporting documents are due by 14 January 2027 at 12.00 midday, Brussels time.
Eligibility routes
Candidates need C1 knowledge of one official EU language and B2 knowledge of a different official EU language. For each field, the notice provides four principal education-and-experience routes:
- •a relevant three-year university degree plus seven years of relevant professional experience;
- •a relevant four-year university degree plus six years of relevant professional experience;
- •a relevant five-year university degree plus five years of relevant professional experience; or
- •a three-year university degree in another area plus nine years of relevant professional experience.
The exact accepted study areas, evidence of a field focus and relevant-duty categories differ between artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Candidates must check Section 3.3 and Annexes II and III of the notice against their own documents.

All candidates who submit on time are invited to remote-proctored tests. EPSO scores reasoning first. Candidates who pass reasoning have the field MCQ scored. The field score creates the ranking used to decide whose EUFTE script and eligibility are processed. The EUFTE assesses written communication based on documents about EU matters; it is not a factual-knowledge test.
Training boundary
This package now uses the published test clock and maps its AI and cybersecurity study scope to the duty categories in Annex II. The notice does not publish a detailed field-MCQ syllabus. Official notice C/2026/4668, the EPSO competition pages and later candidate messages always prevail.
