If so, the European Cancer Organisation (ECO) may be looking for you.

In this full-time Brussels-based role, you will support a portfolio of several EU-funded projects contributing to Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan and the EU Cancer Mission. You will work closely with experts, clinicians, patients, carers and policymakers to help deliver meaningful change in cancer prevention, care, and quality of life.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of EU-funded projects in which ECO participates. You will monitor timelines and deliverables, ensuring smooth internal workflows, maintaining organised project records, preparing projects technical and financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all the formalities and processes necessary to ensures effective project management.

You will be a main point of contact for project partners, ensuring clear communication and the timely exchange of information.

The role also includes supporting ECO’s participation in new project proposals. You will help coordinate internal inputs and liaise with colleagues involved in drafting contributions.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a motivated and proactive professional who is eager to grow within the EU health policy funding landscape. You should be highly organised, attentive to detail, and comfortable managing multiple parallel tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to present information clearly, to the point and maintain constructive relationships with diverse partners.

You should enjoy problem-solving, be willing to take initiative, and be able to keep calm and focused when navigating complexity or dealing with unexpected challenges. Minimum of 1 ½ to 2 years of prior professional experience in EU project management is required, as well as a good knowledge of the operational rules of EU funding programmes (ideally Horizon Europe and/or EU4Health). Fluency in written and spoken English is critical, and proficiency in additional European languages is welcome. Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, is required.
