DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Communications Intern to support ECI’s communications, advocacy, and event-related activities. This traineeship offers hands-on experience in communications, advocacy support, and event promotion within a European trade association. The intern will work closely with the team to help deliver clear, engaging and timely communications across multiple channels, supporting ECI’s policy goals.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Communications Officer with internal and external communications activities

Assist with website updates, newsletters, social media posts and other digital content

Help prepare communication materials such as press releases, visuals, and presentations

Support communication activities for events and webinars

Assist with media and stakeholder monitoring, contact lists, and reporting on communication outputs

Provide logistical and communications support for events, including the annual ECI Summit

Support general communications, administrative, and coordination tasks as required to ensure smooth operation of the team

WHO YOU ARE

You have a relevant completed degree

You have a strong interest in policy communications, advocacy, sustainability, mobility or EU affairs

You are fluent in English, both oral and written; other EU languages advantageous

You have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively

You have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software

You have experience with visual design tools, such as Canva

You have experience with CRMs or MailChimp

You are interested in gaining work experience within a European association

You have the legal right to work in Belgium
