During an airport exercise, a document query produces inconsistent identity information. The officer pauses the routine flow, verifies the source, and contacts the duty supervisor. A protection concern is then raised, so the officer follows the referral safeguard rather than continuing the original sequence mechanically.
The debrief separates system facts, traveller statements, and team actions. By the next morning, the coordinator will have issued a short summary with two recommendations: clarify the handover wording and add a protection-referral reminder to the exercise checklist.
